Quick answer
Start with a valid passport, secondary-school diploma or expected-graduation certificate, complete transcripts and clear scans. Add only the test, language, medical, police, translation and authentication documents required by the current university guide; their validity periods and formats can change.
The core file most applicants need
- Passport biographical page with sufficient validity.
- Senior high-school diploma, or expected-graduation evidence where accepted.
- Complete senior high-school transcripts.
- Recent photograph meeting portal specifications.
- CSCA report and English-language evidence where required.
Zhejiang University’s latest guide asks for an ordinary foreign passport, diploma and all-course transcripts. Xiamen University also lists passport, birth certificate, parents’ identity documents, diploma, transcripts, language proof and CSCA.

Passport validity is university-specific
ZJU’s 2026 guide required passport validity after 1 March 2027; XMU required validity through 31 October 2026 for that intake. These examples show why “my passport is still valid” is not enough. Compare its expiry date with the exact date in the 2027 guide and renew early when necessary.

Translations, notarisation and authentication
If a certificate is not in Chinese or English, universities commonly require a notarised translation. Do not pay for a chain of attestations until the admitting university confirms the format for Pakistani documents. Keep the original, translation and certification as separate, clearly named files.

Medical and police documents expire
A physical examination form or police character certificate may have a limited validity period. Preparing it too early can mean repeating the process. Prepare the stable documents first, then schedule time-sensitive papers when the current guide or admissions office confirms the acceptable window.

Prevent avoidable portal rejection
- Use the same spelling and order of names everywhere.
- Scan edges, seals and reverse pages where information appears.
- Use readable colour files without shadows or fingers.
- Follow size and file-type limits without compressing text into blur.
- Never edit marks, dates, stamps or official content.
Save a final submission folder and a separate originals folder. Record what was uploaded and when.

What NICE can and cannot verify
NICE can help you organise a checklist and identify questions. The university decides document acceptability; PM&DC decides its regulatory requirements; and visa authorities decide visa evidence. Use our admission requirements page and profile review as preparation, not as substitutes for official decisions.

Can I apply before receiving my final FSc certificate?
Some universities accept an expected-graduation or student-status certificate, but the final diploma must be provided by the stated deadline. Check the current guide.
Should I make a medical certificate now for 2027?
Only after confirming the required form and validity period; making it too early may cause it to expire.
Do Pakistani documents need translation?
If the original is already in English, a translation may not be needed, but certification or authentication rules must still be confirmed with the university.
Can an agent change a scanned document for me?
No one should alter marks, dates, stamps or official wording. Submit truthful, complete records.
